Porn is, at its heart, a substitute for real sex. Since most men (and even a fair number of women) have given up sex and relationships for very logical reasons, porn exists as a pain killer.
Banning pain killers doesn't solve the underlying issue, i.e. pain. If someone is in agony, yes, you can treat the problem with pain killers to numb the pain, but it doesn't solve the underlying cause of what is causing the pain. It's the same with porn. If you take away porn, you haven't solved the issue of what is driving people to use porn; the absolutely fucked state of intersexual relationships from dating to marriage.
Removing the pain killer without healing the harm requiring its use only drives people to seek alternative ways of dealing with the pain. With physical pain, this can be booze or drugs. For sex and relationships, well...they say that nine out of ten people enjoyed the gang rape.
