It was invented so we didn't rip this world to shreds and we could use it perpetually.
Imagine this, you're a conscious energy source floating around in the universe. You can't just cease to not be, that's not how this works. After a couple hundred million years you realize that you're utterly bored out of your fucking mind. So what you do? You can do literally anything. I have an idea. How about I split my psyche into billions of fragments. Then, let's take those fragments and put them in a physical world and lets see what they, or I more like, get up to. Let me throw these real bastards into the mix to spice it up. We'll call em jews. Real nasty fuckers. Anyway you're here because you were BORED AS FUCK. The only way to keep this place running as a place we might want to come back to is to instill what we call morality into the masses. It'll be way more interesting with morality because it'll enable you to experience such a drastic wide range of emotions and experiences. It really opens things up since the world is neither inherently good or bad. Otherwise if it were a true free for all then everything would devolve quickly and then you'd just be bored as fuck again.
