Why don't modern day republicans think that jobs should pay you anymore? If you tell the average conservative that you believe people deserve a living wage for their work, they somehow see it as entitled- even though a living wage literally means a wage that meets the bare necessities of life.

It's a lower standard than Americans have had historically so it's not even conservative in that way.
