I was in the Infantry 11B and I come from a very heavy military background so loyalty to the nation came naturally for me. But the brotherhood I experienced and the melting pot of cultures of my buddies definitely had an immense impact on me. Black,White,Latino and others those guys whom I’m still friends with to this day helped me immensely in understanding that what happened in my environment was an isolated experience that the entire world wasn’t like what I imagined.
