The idea that a person without sin would be basically omnipotent predates Christianity and Judaism. You can find other branches of the same idea in places like Tibet, a man without sin could climb the unclimbable mountain but he wouldn't need to, he could just turn into a bird and fly to the top.
This is the overman of Christianity, the ideal of the perfect Christian which only one man lived up to.
