Prices can only sustainably stay high if people are willing to pay. So much of the US population is too lazy and/or stupid to cook using basic ingredients and a large portion of the population is addicted to junk food which has prompted fast food companies to jack up prices faster than average inflation.

I really love how the Left is now totally supports ultra processes foods and chemical dyes and loves big Pharma and Monsanto. What a crazy timeline. Zoomers probably don't even realize the inverted world we now live in and think it has always been thus.
