a lot of back pain comes from tight muscles. sometimes just a tiny little cluster in one spot can mess things up. its worth looking into sport massage. fascia massage especially, but it doesn't need to be expensive. if you've got a wife or gf it doesn't take long to get good at it with regular practice and reading a little bit.
