Why isn't India considered a continent in the same way as Europe when "Indians" are a very diverse group of ethnicities and nations, just like "Europeans"? You have Tamil, Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, and hundreds more. It's the same as Europe being a single country. India is isolated from Asia by the Himalayas, like how Europe is separated by the urals. I am Indian, from Bengal, and dont have too many in common with the Tamil, for example.
