Woke is dead. So maybe these businesses were never doing shit like this because of the left. And they just used the left as a shield to hide their own money driven decisions. Meaning maybe Cracker Barrel is struggling more than people know financially or they want to expand the business into other markets where they know the cultural climate views them a certain way and they a rebranding will help. Either way its about money. The answer is almost always money but people refuse to accept that. They let these companies off the hook. These (((companies))) manipulate peoples preconceived notions about cultural war shit and use it as a way to stir up business (see the made up controversy over the Jeans ad). Cracker Barrel gets to rebrand knowing if they announced that and the reasons why their customers would be mad. And they sit back and watch the right blame some nonexistent woke mob on the left that supposedly brought down Cracker Barrell. Meanwhile the real reasons for declining sales is the food is mediocre and eating habits continue to change (even in the South).
