its almost impossible for a rich man to enter into heaven. sorry rich guys. on the other hand all things are possible through christ jesus so basically if your rich the only way you can make it is through Christ. also if your poor or good or bad or middle class basically its impossible for everyone to make it without christ. hope that helps.

the eye of a needle doesn't mean a sewing needle, it is referring to small openings in walls/fortifications that are wide enough for people to pass through but difficult for larger animals or multiple people.

Because a person can not serve two masters, it is either God or money. To excel at either relationship requires the sacrifice of the other. Jesus was very clear about this, I don't know why the camel and the needle throw people off. Maybe it is historical contextual as no one sews any more or has a camel. The richer you are the most attached you will be to this material world. The most important thing in your life will be your relationship to the immaterial, and the later you learn this the more it is a shame.

Talking animals is straight out of Aesop. The snake in the garden, too.

He meant that rich people are shit. This attitude was appealing to the brown gutter trash who were the first Christians. It also made it sound like Rabbi Yeshua wasnt a soulless materialist like the other Jews, whom people disliked for exactly that reason, among others. It might reflect an Essene or Zealot critique of the ruling class of elite Jews who worked with the Romans but which was distilled into a more Western-sounding philosophical asceticism, replete with Semitic local color camel imagery.

Long story short: itโ€™s propaganda like the rest. It sounds to me though like there might be a kernel of something historical in it, especially if you buy the aggressive, pithy Jew Jesus as a possible historical reality, a la early Eisenmann and some others.

This is just Biblical exegesis for wealthy Christians who fear their money might keep them out of heaven. Please show proof of an actual gate called the eye of the needle. Iโ€™ve heard about it too, but I think itโ€™s just a lie.
