In the vast majority of cases, "getting ahead" does not require any kind of genius insight or superhuman work ethic but rather just staying on top of and consistent with the things that everyone knows they should be doing but few people actually do all of. Ask yourself: how many people do you know who actually
>Stay in shape
>Eat healthy
>Get enough sleep
>Practice good personal hygiene
>Dress well
>Don't consume drugs or alcohol
>Are responsible with money
>Are always on time and perform well at their jobs
None of these these require you to be a genius or grind insanely hard, yet almost no one does all of them. The difficulty lies in tard-wrangling your lizard brain to avoid bad habits and hedonistic indulgence; the former is a skill you have to learn, but it is learnable, and the latter is just a choice. Where most people fail is not in the moments where they're so overwhelmed with stress that they fall off the horse because they simply break under the pressure, but rather in the moments where they feel basically fine and COULD go either way in either taking the high path or giving in to temptation, and choosing the latter in a mindset of "nahhh fuck it lol"
