VRchat implemented a voluntary 18+ verification and I don't hate it. To solve the problem of "trust-me-bros" sneaking into adults only instances. The difference is they decided to do it voluntarily and were doing it in response to an actual demand from users. But still the game is full of Gen-Z moral busybodies accusing everyone of being a pedophile for being 17 and talking to a 16 year old (the meme is real) and I keep telling them this is the inevitable result of the moral hysterics they are shilling. An age stratified internet that excludes their dumbass too.
I used to be a teenager who hung out with grown ass adults on the internet. It wasn't grooming. And it was actually an enriching experience. It's almost like surrogate adult figures were a successful selection strategy or something.
