And even if you get hired, you still have to survive the probation period and kiss everyone's ass, while they take great pleasure in talking behind your back and treating you like shit.

All that for what? Just to pay rent on your shoebox and put food on the table. This isn't the life our grandparents lived, where you could feed a whole family, buy a house, and go on vacation on a single salary.
