I'll be truly impressed once we get states doing this but they back their currency with actual physical assets like metal bullion stored in vaults guarded by the state, and mandate all commerce and public services accept it as a form of payment. But that would take some actual legislative effort and leadership to push through. Red states would be doing it right now had Trump lost though.
