The I live downtown and the other day when I went to a small restaurant there was a water sprinkler throwing water everywhere on about 3-4m of sidewalk. I just walked by but knew someone would rip his faggot sprinkler pretty soon. Well when I walked out of the restaurant the sprinler was broken into pieces on the sidewalk in the middle of the water. They're lazy is why, anon. I own my sidewalk, but people can walk there of course and I manage to never have water blasting on it because I wait for a slow time and do it by hand.
What's really annoying are the homes that set up their sprinklers to loudly activate when anyone walks by on their sidewalk. That is just rude and I sincerely hope someone with nothing to lose dashes up there one day and wrecks their bullshit setup.

Now that you mention it, there's a car dealership that has sprinklers hosing down the sidewalk in a busy main road where people can't just walk around because of fast heavy traffic. It's like a quarter mile walk to get to that point too with no other way around, like there's no side roads

The real reason is that burying pipes for sprinklers is a bad idea that just won't die. Earthquake? Broken pipes. Got a bit chilly? You bet your ass you're gonna be on your hands and knees.
