There has been a trend for a few years now of people typically white women teaching dogs to speak the human language.

What they do is they use this tool designed for babies where by buttons have pre recorded words and the dog presses buttons to say words.

It’s quite interesting sometimes dogs will think and ask questions.

One kept asking why I dog not dad (human) and looking in a mirror.

Another asked “why sleep”

One explained that it when it had a bad dream it was about a “stranger animal”

They don't fully understand what they're doing. They just push the buttons and they get praise or even a treat. So you'll see the dog immediately looks to the human after pressing to see if it did the right thing to get a reward. When the woman repeats the question in that tone of voice again the dog knows it didn't press the right buttons, so it goes to try again.

I think maybe these buttons could be useful but not to "talk' with your dog but for basic things that dogs already understands. Like if it wants to go outside to the garden or something like that it could be trained to go push the button and play the sound for the human.
