I… I don’t get it? I thought I was good when it comes to geopolitics but I really fail to see the purpose. I can usually trace the logic of these moves, but this feels murky. Why pour money and risk into mobilizing against them? Is there’s some hidden point that I’m just not seeing? The whole thing leaves me more puzzled than informed. It feels like there should be an obvious answer staring me in the face, and yet nothing quite lands. The pieces are there but the picture refuses to come together.
