monarchy is supposed to represent and embody the highest ideals of human virtue and behavior. essentially acting as the closest thing to God on earth, justifying their ordained Divine Right of Kings. See Charles I, the martyr. Most monarchs do not meet this standard. In order to give a monarch the deference due to the position, he must be worthy of it, but he often is not. However how do you properly challenge the monarch when he is unworthy? Who decides this? It is difficult to answer these questions. Monarchy is great in theory, but complicated in practice.

Honestly I think it's overblown when you consider how often and how bad civil wars are in countries post enlightenment. Established monarchies usually get their house in order before it comes to conflict.

if you have no sovereign nations then you have no eligible noble class. you are conquered. none of the former/currently larping royals or nobility today give a shit about you or their nation.
