But seriously, why didn't he just gamble and invade Putin?

He was already over 60, so not much to live for anyway. Even if he failed, he would have went down in history books and in a blaze of glory together with his comrades and became a legend.

And if he won, even if the chance was only 20%, he could be the president of the Russian federation by now. He had without a doubt charisma and that chieftain vibe.

Why did he choose to be a cuck?

Because he and all of his men were tricked into doing shit by the CIA and they would have been massacred. He did the honorable thing after his mistake and got his men out knowing his time was short after being duped.

because russians believe Putin is good for them. He gets 70% votes, which 70% more support then Von der Lyen. You can not even deal with Mertz who has not even been able to get elected from the first attempt so the elections were just repeated to get him through

He did. The turned his forces around and was running toward Moscow. He was trying for a coup and it got pretty far.

Then he reached a "gentleman's agreement" to back off and let bygones be bygones. But of course Putin wasn't going to let this go, nor should he, and exploded the plane Prigozhin was on a few months later.

He got no support from the top brass. But at that pont he should have just threw the dice and went for it anyway as there was no turning back.

The FSB probably captured all their (his + top Wagner leaders) families and loved ones and continuing the coup would have meant the death of all of them in hours. The Russians are experts in dirty tricks, if anything. I would guess that the FSB had pre-planned exactly this situation, that's literally a part of their job.

They were probably monitored all the time just to get a warning of coup attempts like this. In other words, had he tried to evacuate the families, Putin would have known about the rebellion before it even began.
