Why so many people that grew up with forums, irc, msn etc where internet anonymity was the norm have suddenly decided that it was a good idea to use their real name, show their face and share all their private info at social media?

meanwhile from my irl friends i was the only one that kept using nickname instead of my real name at facebook and i was using anime and games characters avatars instead of showing my face
