Because your average person 10 years ago was a liberal. They aren’t very perceptive or intelligent people that can keep hold of many objective categories in their head and track them over time. So they thought the system was still golden. It still upheld the rules and life was still fine in 2015.

In the 10 years since society has gotten so shit and so much worse that no one who isn’t a drooling mong can think the current system is working. No one thinks we’re going to be better off in another 10 years. So being “far right” (the definition of which changes all the time) doesn’t seem crazy anymore
