Epstein is connected to Israel, this is why Trump is covering it up. He doesn't want to risk the political fallout for Israel when people realize all of Epstein's clients were blackmailed and used as Israeli assets.

His financial backer, Leslie Wexner, was a member of the “Mega Group,” a collection of Jewish philanthropists, which some, like former NSA counterspy John Schindler, have speculated was linked to Israeli intelligence operations. Epstein reportedly invested in an Israeli startup, Reporty Homeland Security (later rebranded as Carbyne), connected to Israel’s defense industry, further fueling speculation."

Obviously the fact that Epstein was a certified FBI informant means there are backdoor lines of communication even inside the FBI. That the levels to this are gigantic and to keep rocking the boat by any means, even if think you started to breakthrough. There’s credible evidence that the DOJ has been at least politically compromised in handling Epstein, especially in 2008 and in its reluctance to be fully transparent since. I want the details on his ties to Wexner, the suspicious money transfers, the prime minister of Israel. If they don't have this info then they are clearly compromised and Trump needs to start up an entirely new investigation into these immediately, but he isn't doing anything except helping them do the cover up.
