There is always room to improve a test or improve how something is measured, but the distaste for IQ is in reality just a distaste for measuring intelligence altogether. If intelligence is measured, then there is and will be hard evidence of genetic racial differences in intelligence.

Why do people assume that just because you can study for an IQ test means it's not a measure of how smart you are? They're assuming it's some fixed quantity to begin with. It can vary depending on whether you just fucked the cheerleading captain or watched your dog die. Of course there are limits to how much your mood or study regimens can improve your IQ that vary by the individual, but it being mutable doesn't mean it's not a valid measurement.

IQ tests are an objective metric to measure competency. If 2 people took the same IQ test, then it is a valid comparison. If 2 different IQ tests where the scoring measures the same scoring criteria and have the same difficulty, then it is also valid. If you have low IQ, sorry to say, but it sucks to suck. Yes, I will assign someone with 110 IQ to the same job as someone with 107 because it might be a marginal fluke, but I will almost always prefer the IQ of 140 to manage the niggas with 110. IQ is not really a measurement if intelligence its more a measurement of through put and capacity.
IQ is more apt to the thought about like RAM in your computer, IQ means you can juggle more tasks, more possibilities and load more into memory then someone with less ram.
Intelligence is like having a big fucking hard drive of information, IQ is being able to pull it out and utilize it.

Low IQ would look at something like broken glass on the side walk and this "Oh man someone left broken glass here."
High IQ might see it and think "Hey i wonder what broke here, its not green so it was possibly not just a bottle, there are tire marks so maybe a car, but we are also next to a base ball field i bet someone smashed a car window with a base ball"

Since this was posted yesterday, I won't bother with trying to rationalize why the "IQ" measurement has very little value in predicting one's fate.

Today, I'll only speculate on what I call the "smart person tax". /pol/ is ideally suited to the condition as they are zealous about ethnic superiority and baby making. When it comes down to it, nature abhors a void. If success is easy to achieve, a species won't select for intelligence because it is only an obstacle to excess breeding.
