Any lawyers here? I'm a techfag who was laid off by my company in late April. Discovered this thread and I see multiple job listings for my previous role on guestworkervisas.

For context, the month prior to the layoff I filed an HR complaint against my Jeet manager for discrimination (felt he was playing favorites between me and the Jeet team members). HR dismissed the complaint, of course. Weeks later, I was let go because of "budget cuts". They said the termination was not performance related or about my HR complaint.

Today I found this thread, searched up my former company at the aggregator in the OP, and I see multiple different job listings for my exact same role (Junior Software Engineer).

Take a look at what these types of tools can do. You don't necessarily need to change browser, there are extensions for Chrome and Firefox that can also do this, it's just in my experience they tend to want to harvest all your personal data.

But the idea is simple: a sidebar opens and the LLM can see the page you're looking at. You can ask it questions but you can get it to perform actions like search and fill out forms for you.

What you can do is convert your resume PDF to something like markdown, paste it in and then tell the agent to find suitable jobs and apply.

If you're good with automation you don't need this anyway, you could do this all without any interface (scrape the job posting, feed a local LLM you resume markdown, then ask it to tailor your resume to fit the application, then you convert to PDF and upload. But that gets into spam territory (especially if people are just fabricating fake resumes and so on). I think a better approach might be for anons to network privately (like private group) and people could agree to have their details used for posting to jobs. If you think about it that way, having a 100 or so, that go through the process where some code goes through each new posting in a loop, then decides if candidate 1 should apply and then tailor the resume, and then go to the next one and so on. This way they'd get a lot of applicants that look genuine.

Someone suggested that for the ancient jobs (like jobs they've deliberately left up for like 4+ months to say they can't get locals) you could flood it with fake resumes. But I don't think that will make a difference. In fact it might give them a reason to ignore job applicants by saying oh they were overwhelmed. But on the flip side if a lot of AI slop posts makes Karen who loves diversity and undercutting her own people to quit in frustration (or just troll them) maybe that's a win. I don't know, there is pros and cons. It would be funny if the fake resumes were all non-white.
