When blm was burning this country, I was told that we might be transferred to national guard units to not officially deploy american soldiers on home soil. Developed countries are having problems with birth rates, while the share of the population that's part of the labor force is declining rapidly. Couple that with pension programs being supported by workers, and pensioners being an important demographic for conservative parties across all developed countries, means that all this talk about stopping immigration is only rhetoric and nothing more. Capitalism needs immigration, especially when birth rates are so low and there are simply no laborers left to do the jobs.
