These groups are first and foremost information/disinformation/misinformation experts.. that is their main stock-in-trade.

So because of this they are very sensitive to being labeled etc. And true enough they have basically avoided any ridicule/stereotyping for their entire existence. Then a literal-who schizo nobody drops a nickname on them an it sticks. Now they have been labeled and they hate it.
