if they did not use microprocessors or used very primitive ones it could likely be argued that a modern cell phone is far more complex than an old ICBM in terms of number of components. They were probably mechanically guided using a gyroscope-based INS type of system and the rest is just fuel pumps pouring into flaming anus and the warhead which is a relatively simple mechanism
