the feds owning intel is literally socialism, and the purpose is to install more hardware backdoors in CPUs.

They already do that anyway and have been doing it for years (decades maybe even). I doubt they could even do it more than as much as they're already doing it.

Nah, the real purpose of this is to bring domestic chip manufacturing back. People whining and crying about the Tariffs cite the fact that chips are made in Taiwan or whatever and not here. Well, this is to bring it back over here, so what people are crying about is being rectified.

Actually this is happening because the Intel CEO is a Chinese spy and he GAVE AWAY all the backdoors to China.

they dont own intel, it's non-voting stock, they have no power over the company than before, he's literally doing something similar to the mineral deal in that he's getting the government an asset for its investment that it can sell off later. its called not being a retard and giving failing companies free money youll never get back

Keeping huge tech companies tied to the US and not selling out to China is the most popular thing regarding technology a politician can do. Nobody likes paying $2500 for GPUs based on "supply shortages" caused by mass shipping products through Chinese black markets.

The only people who oppose this are angry Chinese nationals who think they're trade warring with the USA. Well, go on then, make your own chips. Don't forget to pay your tariffs.
