Sort of. My younger brother converted to Catholicism a few months ago and has become a full-blown zealot who wants to become a priest and live on a Monastery. I can't speak for what every Catholic believes but the church accepts baptisms from Protestant denominations. However, if someone can understand those forces to understand none are totally independent, but rather everything is interconnected at some level, then of all those parts appear more like fingers of god, rather than individual gods.

one question which really captured my attention in relation to this issue is the question for the reason of basic existence or "why is there anything at all?" like... even the laws of physics? how do these emerge

anyway, reality is some really weird shit either way. i'm actually not sure if even in case of the non-existence of God--this life is the only shot you get as somehow this one is possible despite the chaos--so why can't it become possible again at some point in the mechanics of the unfolding of reality after this life ends?

In 2020 I started hanging out with a former Chad guy from my gym, he was in a private school and he was the president here and had a lot of status aswell but I knew him from the neighborhood

During covid he got very close to orthodoxy and he became zealous about it fast, in 2021 I was interested in the idea of God and having read the Bible beforehand I said why not, let’s go to church with this guy, it was dark times for me anyway because I broke up with gf and needed escape.

In 2022 this guy broke up with a girl he met in the church and he started going full zealot with the idea of becoming a monk, we would talk about how God prefers the man to be celibate and how women are a waste of time that will draw you away from God. He then started growing a huge beard and he would ghost all his friends except me. He then became very radicalized with the canon law and he stopped cutting his hair and he became vegan and now he is not wearing and shorts or tshirts so he hides his skin.

We fighted a lot during the last months and we don’t talk as often but my friendship with this guy was really weird. He would also try to brainwash me into not getting into marriage and he tried to convince me multiple times to go to the monastery with him, I believe that he does love God tho and he is a good person but he is obnoxious sometimes. He convinced me tho that premarital sex is degenerate and I’m dry since 2023 because of it.
