This only impacts new builds. The price of housing in general goes down as the demand for housing reduces, just the same as any commodity.
Losing cheap immigrant labor will only temporarily cause the price of new builds to rise.

Only losers abandon the will to do something good because in the short run it is uncomfortable. This study might as well be analogous to a study on how the early stages of weight training result in pain and muscle soreness. It’s just a natural part of the process. The end results should be focused on, not the initial pain.
