Even after the stunt in Texas being priced in, betting odds are still more than 2 to 1 in Democrats favor to take back the House. Historical precedent also strongly suggests the opposition party taking back control of the House during midterms.
I'm sure your feelings disagree so you'll disregard all of this, but I would be curious to see what tangible indicators you have to suggest Republicans holding their historically narrow majority in the House.

Now this will be me straying into conspiracy territory, but I think Newsom may not actually be teeing up for a presidential run.
He's the governor of a safe blue state who doesn't really have to worry about political backlash. I'm wondering if he isn't just acting as the designated Democrat bomb thrower/ lighting rod to keep the right wing media focused on him instead of going after other potential candidates and snuffing out their campaigns before they can even start.
