Capitalism's last stand
It is a bit sad to think that this is the end of capitalism. It brought so many great things but its last stand was reduced to CEOs of awful companies I don't give a shit about, hide behind a pedophile used car salesman president, to avoid EU and UK regulations.
I see socialism and communism as worse models. They'll bring down crime sure, but the safeguards against bad behaviors prevents ruthlessness, and without that you really don't get good movies or video games. There's no ambition to make anything like the biggest parks or best entertainment if there's no big reward to yield for the person invested in the production. The reason I hate non-american countries so much is because we don't make anything interesting, almost ever. The only countries that makes stuff that makes life worth living and dreams worth pursuing, are asian countries which basically have no regards for human rights, or america, which said "fuck taxes and welfare" in ways other countries haven't. And watching anime or older american TV there's a carefreeness and lack of self-consciousness that I prefer in people. In school I always avoided the people who spoke with too much self-awareness. I found them sycophantic, and fake. The fact that we no longer see "fakeness" as the worst trait of a person is a sign of how far we've slid from the good old days of healthy capitalism.
When it's gone, it probably won't come back. And I will miss it.
