AMERICAN FARMERS BEG FOR BAILOUTS
Why should the White House bail out farmers? This is what they voted for. FAFO.

I have a solution!
>Step 1.) Arrest all the farmers who hired illegals and seize their land as punishment (similar to how drug dealers get their houses stolen)
>Step 2.) Give that land to the farmers who didn't hire illegals

It's time they live with the results of their choice.

>Why should the White House bail out farmers?
because is Trump's fault that this is happening? What else is he doing with all the money he's making with tariffs? Wasn't it supposed to be invested in America? Also didn't he say he was gonna remove income tax? Because we are basically being robbed. The point of tariffs was to eliminate income tax but now we are only getting triple taxed to death.

Makes sense. The only issue is that the government spent decades not doing that so the farms "following the rules" would have went bankrupt long ago leaving only those who embraced migrant hiring or those who reluctantly started doing it. In reality the price of food should simply increase across the board so proper incentives start getting paid.

This article isn't about that though, it is about other countries putting retaliatory tariffs on America. The answer is simple, start producing crops that can be sold locally. If you need to export surplus crops then increase prices to compensate. The government should setup equivalent crop exchange trade agreements with countries in the southern hemisphere to exchange goods during the alternative grow seasons.

This is why I cant stand the daily politics argument. They both rely on the public not knowing anything about policy and history at all. Trump isnt radical at all. He isnt doing anything that isnt normal but both dems and repubs need to gaslight their goons into thinking this is crazy

What if corporations just lowered prices and sold food instead of throwing it away? They could then buy more food, thus supporting farmers! Wow

trump should just get south african farmers to teach American farmers how to run farm without government subsidies
Anonymous (ID: SSzn8a+U) United States No.514951849 [Report]
Farming hasnt been free market in a long time. Free market is a race to the bottom. They will overproduce until the price of product is so cheap you cant make money on it anymore and that kills the ag business because people refuse to farm if they cant sell. So the government controls how much is made, how much gets sold and who it gets sold to. Its been that way for a century

And the ones that are still around tend to be very small operations that don't have the needed skillset to move up to industrial-scale production. Just like with the attempt at protectionist tariffs Trump is trying to shut the barn door after the horse has run off to the next county and died of old age.

I mean the other factor is that at this point US AG completely lost one of their main markets, China.
in 2025 Corn export to China is essentially gone, Basedbean cut in half or even by 75% depending on projections, cotton will be gone by next year, nuts and fruits are essentially gone.
2023:$34b
2024:$18b
2025 trend: $16b (optimistic)
And no other market has the capacity or the need to absorb what China did.
