Oldfag anon here, was born in Yugoslavia (Bosniak) in 79 and immigrated to Germany in 94 to escape the slaughter of the Bosnian war, at the time. Being an immigrant at the time, i felt warmly welcomed and well integrated, and absolutely nobody cared that I was foreign or my family was muslim (am an atheist myself, but I do respect all faiths and religions), to everyone I was a member of that community and treated as everyone else.

There was a sense in the 90s that racism and xenophobia were a thing of the past, we laughed at how absurd it all was and it seemed more and more thatbwe were moving towards a world of mutual respect and understanding between people of all races and nations. What changed? Why is anti immigrant sentiment and far right rethoric on the rise? Why we went from coexistence to open racial hostility? I meam it's not like racism didn't exist before, but now people openly talk 90s neo nazi points in open television, what has that dream of unity and understanding become?

we assumed that if we helped get rid of racism, then they would leave us alone.

now that we see they won't leave us alone, we realize that we might as well go back to being racist.

Because back in the 80s and 90s we had good times so people turned a blind eye to any racial conflict that cropped up plus white people were still the majority. Now whites are becoming strangers in their own homeland, the good times aren't there anymore, and the racial groups white people tried to look at with a colorblind lens are showing their true colors. Their hatred towards whites is obvious and most don't even attempt to hide it anymore. Racial relations didn't get "better" at that time it was all a farce covered up by propaganda so people wouldn't notice it and helping the other races just made them hate white people even more.

To sum it all up white people extended a hand of friendship and good faith to every other racial group and they all spit in white people's face and punched white people to the ground in anger.

It is because only white people are tolerant and not racists. Every single nigger, sandnigegr, asian, spic, jew and all the non europeans are racist as hell. So when majority of people were white - there was no racism. When whites started becoming minorities - then you suddenly saw racism is back. But it wasn't ever gone in non whites. Resources and sentiment toward future growth are currently under greater strain than they were at those times. True national economic boom seems like a thing of the past, and the small man is realizing that the American dream was the expense paid to open our doors to foreigners. I'm no longer competing with Jack, Johnny, and Fred for my AMerican job, thepicket fence, and the family. When growth becomes a widespread possibility again, financial, cultural, and spiritual, racism will once again be seen as the blight it is. However, racism is the cure to the problem, just need a side to win.

Yes and no, Hurricane Katrina was the beginning of what happens when racial relations break down. It is a perfect example of what happens when the racial equality propaganda fails and that was under Bush as president. Hurrican Katrina showed what happens when society is in crisis and what happens removing the propaganda of everyone getting along with good race relations. Immigration is fine when your country is still majority [your race] and the immigrated make up a small portion of the population.
