Murder and rape are human nature as well. The literal entirety of the success of our species is built upon rising above our nature to create order and structure which incentivizes cooperation. Aristocracy and monarchy were systems built upon human nature. War is human nature. All our worst and best actions are human nature. This is an exceptionally weak argument because literally ANY action we take operates within the scope of "human nature" because we were able to take it.

Any society operates by selecting for actions which benefit society and against those which don't.

And you're misunderstanding me -- I'm not blaming elites. I'm blaming the system which allows them to control us, to shape us, and to pit us against one another for their benefit. Were the system different, they'd be no different from the rest of us.
