Thing is, you know you cannot post even normal political opinions / analysis anymore without being labeled far right at best. Which can cause you a lot of trouble if by any chance anyone but bots starts reading your opinions. From shadowbans to (in Bongland case) actual prison time for verbal transgressions (written).

So let's say you want to publish normal analysis on a blog - again, not fedposting, just essays etc - and you want to remain anonymous. You fire up a VPN but it turns out that blog registrations are closed. For example, if you turn on ProtonVPN, you cannot register any email other than Proton's due to ((((spam))) or whatever. I did not try to register to substack or wordpress which are the only remotely normal publishing platforms but I assume problems could arise there too.

Not much point in starting your own Wordpress site. I've done it, but I host my own server. People won't go to it. They want the fans and likes. I suppose that some are just comfortable in the herd, but I tend to think that most sites just become magnets for sociopaths who aren't happy if they aren't offending their enemies. If it were me, I'd be advocating a public key system. We're seeing a push towards keys integrated into the OS, but you're already being tracked by the OS if you do it that way. Create a public key system where you establish a reputation for both provocations and for victim claims. Let the sites decide how much trouble from either side is the threshold for what they want to allow.
