Given the rate of blood loss, it appears like what the infographic poster was saying. He barely had time to register even the impact, or what wouldve felt like a hot stinging at the neck because he was already instantly disoriented. All he would've noticed is dizziness and the sudden inability to clearly notice his surroundings just like one does when they faint or pass out, only even faster. He literally did not know what hit him, that he had been shot, that it was murder or even that he was about to die, thats how fast it was.

It would be as though he were just talking then suddenly passed through a half second of light headed disoriented daydreaming then asleep.

In that unfortunate sense, he was lucky.

I absolutely could not stand Kirk but recognize he, like myself, was a flawed human being. And it was a humiliation of my sense of national identity. I grew up when it was safe to speak and protest.

Its gone now. Its not a theory of the future. The hope that I would not live to see the shooting start is crushed. Here it is. This is the country I have to die in now. Mine is long gone and never coming back, because it will have to get much worse until whatever replaces it gets any better.
