Less eating
Obese people need more protein then normal people because of the higher lean mass (fluids, supporting muscles and thicker bones holding up the bulk fat)
I got some optimum casein protein powder, some taurine, some ground psyllium husk, chia seed, and flax seed to shake up in a half gallon of skim milk. That's like three 11oz protein shakes. Don't add psyllium until you're ready for the last third because it turns it into jelly after a while if you don't drink it fast after shaking in
For lunches at work, Walmarts premier protein is a lower protein but decent meal replacement, about $2 per shake, you get the 12 packs in the vitamin section usually on an end cap
Obviously you can't always be fasting or drinking your calories, so get frozen chicken or canned tuna and also keep canned lentils on hand. They're a waste of money since you can boil your own in ten minutes, but it's convenient and only $1.20 a can.
Eat eggs if convenient.
Shun red meat for the most part until closer to a normal weight
Avoid carbs that aren't potatoes, bananas, green veggies, beans, peas, carrots, etc
The reason you make your shake in a skim milk half gallon is to reduce the cost per gram of protein without adding too many other calories overall, and to save having to clean a bottle or shaker
Also get some cheap electrolytes from Walmart, whatever is on sale really, even that Amazon strawberry water flavor has some in it, get a multivitamin gummy (IGNORE SCHIZOS) and take a good d3+k combo supplement, they're cheap. Also magnesium glycinate can be taken before bed on its own even in addition to all this, no harm done and can help regular sleep which aids weight loss
Eating "normal" (processed) food once in a while, especially while figuring out the right fiber balance in meals with chicken or with the protein shakes, can help regulate your digestion as you're getting going, just hit the protein hard
