Supposedly, the dinosaurs were wiped out due to a massive meteorite that, "would be like setting off every nuke in the world, times a thousand, all at once," but...where's the impact site?
The Earth does have large craters on it, and I believe one turned into a lake, or an ocean somewhere in Europe, don't get me wrong. I just think that something described that way should be rather noticeable. (Unless it IS that one in Europe--Neither of us recall the name, or know much about it)
