Cartoons
Chowder is when cartoons started going downhill. It was the start of the brainslop. I didn't like watching it.

I think a concern I have is that the producers are trying to optimize the most "in your face" in the shortest amount of time and it's just flashes of slop over and over again. Cartoons used to take it slow, it used to be art.

Back to my main point, it just sucks. It's really not funny, plain and simple. I would get it if a 6 year old liked it, but watching it as an adult is just terrible. Might as watch Paw Patrol or something if you want to be a manbaby

It didn't take itself seriously like Adventure Time did. That show is actually very mean-spirited for the youth to witness.

Cartoons on TV went downhill by the end of 2005 when Kids WB died. By 2007, cartoon network just threw everything to the wall hoping it would stick like putting Naruto at 4PM instead of late in the night on saturdays and oh my God the constant Japaaaaaaaaan dick sucking that went on back then by Nick, Disney and CN.

Nothing worked because by that point it was too late and that is why it is the way it is. The last time I checked cartoon network it was nothing but Teen Titans Go spam and some black kid cartoon about camping or whatever.

That's around the time CNN was starting to come out of its prime, but they still had their golden era shows. It was Ren and Stimpy.
I hate to say it, but John K accidentally created the 90's vibe of "weird" cartoons and "grossout" shit. Before him cartoons were all somewhat normal, with the weirdest ones being stuff like TMNT which is basically ultra-normie compared to all the weird shit like Cow and Chicken, Spongebob, Cat-Dog, Two Stupid Dogs, Grim and Evil, and all the other "two dumb animals acting retarded for 30 minutes" kids shows. Every single kids TV show that came out within 10 years of Ren and Stimpy was inspired by it.
Which sucks because it was a funny show, just ruined by corporate horse-beating.
