I did a course as data center technician, got certification and everything. In my country they have extreme protective measures for all tier 3/4 data center. Was for example an employee to call for police they would have a swat team there within a few minutes. They also have bollards and boulders to stop trucks, multiple chain link fences with motion triggered alarms and cameras, bullet/explosive proof building exterior, multple gates to pass through etc.
