Its double fucked up when you realize a lot of places are weening onto green energy which barely can handle the needs of a major city and bam out of nowhere now we need 6 times the power production.

Data centers pay good money and keep you from paying even more.

It's basic economics economy of scale.
If you're lucky enough to get a nuclear reactor and a data center your community is set.

I am just liking these liberal green energy supporting tech companies are now all demanding their own personal nuclear power plants

Worry not....AI-boom is a bubble and it will burst at some day near future. After that there is plenty of electricity to offer and prices going down.

Why bomb them when you can datacentermaxx

1. Get an AI capable of performing web enabled apps
2. Create 6,000,000 fake Google accounts
3. Sign up all accounts to 33,333 different automated spam mailers
4.???
5. PROFIT

Bitcoin miners will fill the gap.

If you look at bitcoin mining electricity is always getting cheaper on that network.
We won't see cheaper electricity until fiat is replaced by BTC

The price of electricity kept getting cheaper and cheaper until 1971, and then we went off the gold standard.

The pace of new money creation, inflation, welfare, retarded ESG-DEI, etc. has outpaced the rate of technological progress.
So things won't correct until we go back on hard money again, and BTC is the key to doing it.

AI is going to eventually running out of propaganda to over hype it. Months ago we had every couple of weeks some literally who telling us how the next version of Chat GPT was going to change society. You would have Elon Musk post some vague chart with all the AI companies on it declaring some kind of victory where the chart is meaningless and is just propaganda to make you think AI is advancing and that all has mostly stopped. I listened to Sam Altman on Tucker Carlson and there is nothing to indicate this man is smart. He sounded like every other s0i jewish nepo hire that barely knows what he is talking about.

The goal is clearly to keep increasing the price of everything, not lower it. The problem is wages don't keep pace with it, so we're all fucked.

good luck getting to the datacentre building in the first place
https://youtu.be/kd33UVZhnAA?t=60
>layer 2 is the 'secure layer', located inside the perimeter of the premises
>anti-climb fencing, motorised and foot guards, anti-truck-ram barriers, loads of cameras, active tracking of entities, thermal cameras
>actual data centre is buried behind the lobbies, monitoring rooms etc.
>tons of internal barriers that require keycard swipes
>not all datacentres are google storage level secure
eh
yeah i concede that
I wouldve said nigger, but tomayto tomahto

The main difference being I'm not directly harassing other private citizens, I'm merely suggesting we accelerate the modeling of this problem until we can see it's probably end-state while we still have the time and resources to stop it from happening.

Mad, Moshe?

Big chunk of this spike is also LNG shipments to Europe. You can thank your government for blowing up EU's cheap gas supply forcing them to buy from the US and taking a plentiful energy resource from the US consumer and jacking up the price.

Probable*

The nigger level autocorrect on phones is directly powered by data centers. Even in this post as I directly typed "probable" it corrected a single word with no context into "probably".

what sector has reduced its energy intake if data center electrical consumption has grown to 10%? I don't believe for a second that the US suddenly has more power plants.

>pay good money
no they don't they're 95% pure capital 5% labour, they employ close to 0 members of the community.
Sure you get paid to build the giant thing but then the tap dries and the community is left with the heat, electricity, waves and vibration issues.
They should pay special taxes to the places they destroy.
Right now they're just a massive net negative

I did a course as data center technician, got certification and everything. In my country they have extreme protective measures for all tier 3/4 data center. Was for example an employee to call for police they would have a swat team there within a few minutes. They also have bollards and boulders to stop trucks, multiple chain link fences with motion triggered alarms and cameras, bullet/explosive proof building exterior, multple gates to pass through etc.
