Consider the possibility that you are genuinely unhappy and miserable because you make poor choices which lead to making even worse choices.

Consider the possibility that you need to examine those choices more carefully, and perhaps do things you might not have considered. Possibly including getting an entirely different set of friends, and other drastic measures.

Where does morality come from? Atheists have a hard time defending moral claims, they can claim it's not immoral, but only because their morality is subjective or at best utilitarian.

A Christian would ask their priest and he would say it's immoral because it harms you spiritually and hinders your ability to be the head of the family.

Smoking weed isn't going to make your unhappiness go away. In all likelihood, it will make it worse; same as with alcohol but on a different level. Weed should be something you use to relax if you're tense or have difficulty letting go. It should not be something you use to deal with depression because you will just use it more and more until your depression is much worse.
