The basic in UBI means subsistence level living. In trade for your rights and autonomy. Once they put people on this as they as replaced by machines they will have the bare minimum and most of them will be trapped. They aren't going to pay for the people who refuse to adapt to have kids for the sake of having kids. AI will take over education and sort out the prospects that can make it and the rest will fester on UBI probably doing some sort of dumb labor while having very little. Automation should be the solution to the problem of jobs going away. If less and less is being produced, then the American dollar is worth less because there is less to buy with it. Increasing the supply of money will only make the problem worse. In order to fix the problem we need to make available the tools for every person to provide for their own needs.
