Literally their job is converting word documents to PDF for GS8/GS9 pay.

They sit up front where everyone comes in and the single most important thing to them is that you acknowledge their existence.

The odds of whatever that is being something artificial and hostile are NOT zero.

We only have a small handful of platforms that can even attempt to track it, while it is on the other side of the sun from Earth.

For the month of November, we basically won't be able to watch it at all, aside from the JUICE mission (repurposed Jupiter mission), which will only have a few days of capability to see it.

During this time, if it were artificial, it can freely perform operations or even massive trajectory changes, and we couldn't physically even know about it.

The shutdown is currently preventing the highest resolution imagery of the object from becoming public. Imagery taken by the MRO HiRise camera over Mars.

1) Mail and medicine - Prescription delivery knows enough about USPS to not rely on them for delivery
2) Roads - are state government. It isn't Fed business.
3) Lockheed and Northrup. Feds (the military) are only customers/users here and the systems are autonomous.
4) Nothing about Cybersecurity is public, this is handled by private companies through contracts. No Feds here either.
5) Pretty much every cancer drug is handled by big pharma or university/hospital research. Again, no Feds involved. Just another contract.
6) Yeah, most of this money is recycled through corrupt beltway bandit contracting companies. Most Americans don't see a dime of this imaginary Fed money unless if it's through some kind of bailout/stimulus program.
