calling bullshit on this would invalidate a shitload of other hadith crucial for established sunni jurisprudence.
hadith are graded based on known the reliability of the transmitters, they all have what's called an isnad that shows the chain of narration.
ibn mas'ud is the narrator of ~800 hadith, he's like one of the top ten guys.
he was also a companion to the prophet (this sounds prestigious but the companions (sahaba) number about 114,000, it IS an A+++ in a chain of narration grading though according to the system)
then you have next in the chain amr al-bakali, another companion. al-bukhari says he's good as gold.
then tarif ibn majlad al-sulami, who's "trustworthy"
then a bunch more trustworthy dudes filling out the chain.
