there will be no habitation structures on the lunar surface unless covered by 3-5 feet of regolith, and even then any country trying to live on the moon will most likely build inside of lava tubes, this is known faggot. solar/cosmic radiation and micrometeorites hitting every square inch of lunar surface every 24 month period excludes all exposed surface dwellings unless you can make kinetic/ablative shielding capable of withstanding a 24,000mph strike

The main problem is how much energy you get back out of the chemical reaction, the same problem exists in hydrogen cells, it costs electricity to make hydrogen, but the energy you get back out of it is a net loss over all.

The same problem exists with burning coal, there is radiation in the coal, that radiation in the coal could be used as thorium and then the coal could be burned later once the radiation is extracted (thorium) but instead we have a retarded arse nigger economy and so we must use lots of energy to make solar panels and then extract it inefficiently using up lots of land where crops or plants could grow that feed people providing chemical energy.

ENERGY is the NEW CURRENCY, in the future.

Oh they got fusion "working" some time back.
Problem is that when accounting for the energy spent producing the fuel, the energy output is a rounding error to the point that it makes hydrogen look sane, where the most "efficient" way of producing it is cracking LNG, where you "only" throw away 70% of the energy contained in the LNG to make hydrogen.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH A KIKE PROMOTING A KIKE GENERATED THEORY, HOW NOVEL, BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

>Thomas Gold's "deep gas hypothesis" proposes that some natural gas deposits were formed out of hydrocarbons deep in the Earth's mantle. Earlier studies of mantle-derived rocks from many places have shown that hydrocarbons from the mantle region can be found widely around the globe. However, the content of such hydrocarbons is in low concentration.[4] While there may be large deposits of abiotic hydrocarbons, globally significant amounts of abiotic hydrocarbons are deemed unlikely.[5]
>Gold was born on May 22, 1920, in Vienna, Austria, to Max Gold, a wealthy Jewish industrialist (pre-war) who ran one of Austria's largest mining and metal fabrication companies, and German former actress Josefine Martin.

was curious why you said tungsten instead of graphite for moderation as i know next to nothing about fusion so just looked into fusion and it seems fusion doesn't have a need to moderate neutrons as moderation is to slow neutrons down for chain reactions. they want em going as fast as possible to breed fuel/produce heat

If commercially viable fusion ever gets developed people will become as retarded about it as they are about fission because it's still "nuclear" and "radioactive".

Conversely, if people ever stopped being retarded (fat chance), we could just build a shitton of nuclear reactors with reasonable regulation like they did in the 60s (Or hell, the French managed to do in the late 70s and 80s. The fucking French. Can you imagine?)

Oh, we figured a way around that one, our own nuclear industry found some big tech PR people or something. It's not a "reactor", it's an "energy module for national infrastructure" on the budget sheet. Therefore, when activists make freedom-of-information requests on "nuclear reactors" and not "energy modules", they don't get shit other than legacy models.

It's hardly 'on the menu'. The first plant that can generate gigawatts is a decade away, and private capital will only come in after they see. Only then will the private sector start 10 year projects of their own to build fusion.
Since the 1950s the fossil industry has been setting fusion against fission, paralyzing the transition away from fossil fuel electricity. It's important to innovate fusion but we should also switch to fission.

Tungsten as the reactor liner as an alternative to beryllium. It contaminates the plasma in short order. IE the material problems inherent to fusion have no been solved and you would need massive new mining projects to supply the beryllium. It also has to be changed out regularly as it becomes highly radioactive. They should have been build molten salt thorium reactors since the 60's instead of distracting everyone with fusion hopium.

Technically emissive energy systems will cook the planet within 200-300 years at current rate of energy demand growth. Future energy systems will have to be non emissive or they will have to reflect a proportion of light from the sun equal to what were putting in the atmosphere.

The US is sitting on a stockpile of thorium ore leftover from the Manhattan project that could power the country for 1000 years. They have plenty of breeders, they simply do not use them due to the tritium restrictions in the NPT. Thorium is most unattractive since the nuclear lobby is more interested in producing weapons and stymying human progress. The sad reality is the lack of infrastructure being built is a clear signal they intend to reduce populations and standard of living.
