Montevideo seems like a nice place to visit. Its the Whitest country so I think id feel less out of place there than in somewhere like Bolivia where most people are indios. Chile seems good too. The Argentine accent is tough for me to understand so I wouldn't want to go there. I think id have the easiest time understanding people in Uruguay. What mainly happens with our spanish is that 1. we speak fast and 2. most of the population don't pronounce every letter, specially in words ending with S or having D in the last syllable. The combination of both make it harder than most other accents to understand.

Like I’m an American, and a lot of people view us as being bigoted and judging people on their nationality but it couldn’t be further from the truth. For example, you’d probably expect it to be dangerous for Chinese people, Russian people, and Iranians in America but it’s the exact opposite. If anything people feel more obliged to be polite so they know people won’t hate them just for their country.
