Its easier if you have a large, close-knit family where all member prioritizes familial loyalty over everything.
These are rare concepts in the west, due to various liberal initiatives elevating individualism above family.
Normalizing the dispersal of children from their parent's household, so that they can 'find their own way'.
Normalizing interacting with your relatives only on special occasions.
Normalizing the elderly being shoved into retirement villages and forgotten, instead of being gracefully supported through their twilight by their family in exchange for help raising and teaching the young.
Normalizing a risky liberty flush with missteps and perils over a cohesive unity directed by the wisdom of a reliable patriarch
Normalizing broken homes created by stresses exacerbated by money problems and excessive workloads.
Speaking of, the situation depicted in OPs meme is taken straight from such a situation.
>A man is sent out to 'spread his wings'
>He rents some temporary accommodations
>He tries to work his way up to better circumstance
>He forms a relationship
Then a problem - a critical split in the road of life.
This young couple, isolated as they are, are making money but they aren't totally stable, let alone financially prepared to confidently raise children.
So one of two things happens
> A) They have a kid or two anyway, and their ability to improve their lot in life grinds to a crawl, perhaps even inverts.
> The frustration of this magnifies stresses in their domestic life as I said. Usually breaking up the fledgling family and making things worse.
> B) They put off having kids until they're ready. 'Ready' takes longer to reach than expected. Delays tend to stack up.
> Unfortunately, as time passes the couple become less and less likely to sire fit children.
Our modernity is born of this - of liberal individualism, of near absolute social atomization.
All because the family structure is too hard for external forces to control.
