Because they are Christian. You cannot be Christian and antisemitic. Those two positions are completely incompatible. If Christianity is true then all Christian antisemites will have some explaining to do on judgement day. Yahweh is the God of the Jewish nation, his chosen people.

Also OP specifically mentions AMERICAN boomers. Because this is mostly an American issue. Sure, some boomers here worship pissrael, and some Christians too. But they are not common at all, and even then it's only really been a thing more recently, over the last few years I'd say. This is pretty much an American exclusive issue.
