Yes, they are also trying to make archive sites and free research papers inaccessible, we give so much funding to colleges they could run at a profit giving out free tuition, yet somehow the research they generate keeps getting cordoned off to the private sector due to "lack of funding." Much of the people capable of teaching at a higher level are also being recruited to the private sector which is obviously more lucrative, I wouldn't be surprised if they tried keeping everything occluded behind various guild systems again like under feudalism. General K-12 public school education is awful and has been dumbed down to cater to minorities.
College and universities aren't much different, becoming overpriced diploma mills for nepo babies that handle the plethora of "international students" with kid gloves.
